Sarah Fisher is an Associate Professor in the Social Science Department at Emory & Henry University and serves as the Associate VP for Institutional Research & Effectiveness. Her academic career spans teaching and administrative roles, with a focus on political science, international relations, and innovative pedagogy.
- Education: Ph.D. in Political Science and International Affairs from the University of Georgia (2015); B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (2010).
Her research explores two primary domains: international conflict dynamics (foreign policy decision-making, territorial disputes, social trust, and adjudication) and political science pedagogy (kinesthetic learning, scaffolding research methods, and simulation-based teaching). Recent projects include analyzing ChatGPT use on campus, vaccine hesitancy, and teacher pay disparities in Virginia.
