Sarah Elizabeth Blutt, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Virology & Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine. Her research focuses on the cell biology and physiology of the intestine and liver, particularly using human intestinal enteroid cultures to study viral infections like rotavirus and norovirus. She investigates host responses, stem cell activation, and epithelial regeneration. Her work also involves developing entero-hepatic co-culture models and studying microbiome effects on intestinal health.
