Dr. Sarah Aynsley is Senior Lecturer in Bioscience and Deputy Head of the Institute of Education at Keele University's School of Medicine. She specializes in immunology education and innovative pedagogies, including gamification and mixed-methods teaching.

Research has two strands: 1) Gamification of learning to improve engagement in complex subjects, resulting in eight pedagogically evaluated games, and 2) Creative mixed-methods teaching approaches, including longitudinal video resources for immunology education.
Teaching spans MBChB Medicine and MSc Physician Associate programs, emphasizing immunology and interprofessional education. She redesigned curricula to embed sustainability and leads staff workshops on pedagogical illustration.
