Dr. Mandy Duncan is Deputy Head of the Institute of Education and Senior Lecturer in Bioscience at the University of Worcester. She leads research, knowledge exchange, and partnerships, with expertise in childhood studies, children's rights, and educational innovation. Previously Head of Department for Children and Families, she began her career as a nursery nurse and college educator.

- BA (Hons) Childhood Studies
- FdA Early Years Practice
Research focuses on sociological perspectives of childhood, child protection frameworks, and innovative pedagogies. She investigates gamification in education and mixed-methods teaching approaches to enhance engagement in complex subjects.
Her publications demonstrate strong trends in academic integrity, Indigenous curriculum development, and technology-enhanced learning, reflecting a commitment to ethical, inclusive education.
Teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate programs including child development, research methods, and children's rights. She redesigned curricula to embed sustainability and interprofessional education.
She actively supervises research students and leads projects on curriculum decolonization and academic integrity frameworks.
