Professor Sarah Allinson is a Professor of Genome Stability and Cancer Research at Lancaster University's Faculty of Health and Medicine (FHM), Department of Biomedical and Life Sciences. She leads research into cellular responses to DNA damage, focusing on UV-induced skin damage and DNA repair mechanisms in parasites. Her work combines mechanistic studies of repair pathways with clinical applications of cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) in medicine. She teaches modules on Cancer and Genetics, supervises student dissertations, and actively participates in external academic roles such as examining programs at the University of Warwick and Liverpool.
