Sara Wong is a Researcher in the Department of Life Sciences at Imperial College London, affiliated with the Faculty of Natural Sciences. She holds a position in the Franks-Wisden laboratory and collaborates with the Care Research & Technology Centre (University of Surrey) and the Surrey Sleep Research Centre. Her work focuses on behavioral neuroscience, neuronal circuitry, and REM sleep's role in mood regulation, bridging preclinical and clinical perspectives.
Education: PhD in 2021 from the University of Nottingham, funded by the Vice Chancellor Research Excellence, investigating oxytocin brain penetration via intranasal delivery and a novel conjugate peptide in schizophrenia models.
Research Interests: Neurosciences, Circuits and Systems, Animal Behaviour, Clinical Sciences, with emphasis on REM sleep’s microstates and mood regulation.
