Sara Pérez-Lauzon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Resources Management at HEC Montréal. She holds a PhD in Human Resources Management from HEC Montréal, along with a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from HEC Montréal and UQÀM, respectively. She is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and a member of the Interuniversity Research Centre on Globalization and Work (CRIMT).
Her research focuses on talent management, regional development, and the impact of technological changes like Industry 4.0 and AI on workplaces. She has published on topics such as digitalization in aerospace manufacturing, regional institutions' role in talent strategies, and human-centered AI in workspaces. Her expertise spans comparative research, governance frameworks, and innovation policies.
Prof. Pérez-Lauzon teaches courses on human resources management and talent strategies, including Gestion des ressources humaines and La gestion des talents : enjeux et pratiques. She has supervised seven MSc projects in the last five years, addressing topics like gender in management careers, employer branding, and talent management in industries like aerospace and luxury goods.
Her current research emphasizes the adaptation of regional ecosystems to technological transitions and the mitigation of disruption in employment. She collaborates with policymakers and industry actors to craft solutions for better work environments in evolving economic landscapes.
