Sara Mohamed

Dr. Sara Mohamed is a biomedical researcher with expertise in nanomedicine, drug delivery, and precision therapy for cancer treatment. She is affiliated with the Children’s Cancer Institute at UNSW Sydney and holds a conjoint appointment as a Lecturer in the School of Clinical Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales.

Her research focuses on translational development of innovative therapeutics for high-risk hematologic malignancies like Philadelphia-chromosome like Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (Ph-ALL) and Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), leveraging nanotechnology to address unmet therapeutic needs. She has contributed to first-author peer-reviewed publications in journals such as the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules and presented at conferences like the American Society of Haematology.

Her scientific awards include the University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA), Children’s Cancer Institute Postgraduate Supplementary Scholarship, Kids Cancer Alliance (KCA) PhD Top-Up Scholarship, and Translational Cancer Research Network PhD Top-Up Scholarship (TCRN).
