Sara Meyer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cancer Biology within the College of Life Sciences. She leads the Meyer Laboratory, which employs quantitative computational biology, genomics, and mouse models to investigate molecular mechanisms in myeloid malignancies. Her research focuses on four core themes: pathogenic development of myeloid cancers, innate immune signaling in AML, transcriptional heterogeneity, and identifying novel therapeutic targets/biomarkers.
Her work bridges computational approaches with experimental models to address:
- Oncogenic mechanisms in hematopoietic malignancies
- FLT3 and TLR signaling pathways
- Epigenetic regulation via miR-196b and DNMT3A mutations
- Therapy resistance biomarkers
No awards, students, or grant details are mentioned in available materials.
The Meyer Laboratory actively pursues translational research in AML pathogenesis using integrated genomic strategies.
