Sara Israelsen-Hartley is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the DeWitt Wallace Center for Media & Democracy within the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University. She is also a Research & Writing Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School Government Performance Lab, where she contributes to publications aimed at improving government outcomes for communities.

- M.P.P. from Duke University (2023), with a concentration in health policy
- B.A. in Communications from Brigham Young University, with an emphasis in print journalism and a minor in Spanish
Research Interests: Sara specializes in exploring solutions to public health problems through journalism and policy analysis. Her work bridges public health, government policy, and media studies, focusing on how effective communication and governance can address societal challenges.
