Sara Hayes is an Associate Professor of Physiotherapy at the University of Limerick's School of Allied Health and a Principal Investigator on HRB-funded grants (DIFA 2022-2025, ILP 2025-2028). She contributes to the Ageing Research Centre, Health Research Institute, and professional bodies like the Irish Heart Foundation Stroke Council. Her teaching spans BSc and MSc Physiotherapy programmes (2015-present), with a focus on neurological physiotherapy and community participation modules.
