Prof Helen French is an Associate Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) School of Physiotherapy. She holds a PhD in Physiotherapy (2011) and has held academic positions since 2004, progressing from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer before her current role. Her research focuses on musculoskeletal rehabilitation, osteoarthritis management, and advanced practice roles in healthcare. Notable projects include the MSK-ACCESS study evaluating musculoskeletal triage pathways and the LEAP-Ireland feasibility trial for gluteal tendinopathy. She is funded by the Health Research Board (HRB) and the Irish Rugby Football Union Charitable Trust (IRFUCT).
