Sanjukta Paul is a Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School, where she has served since 2022. Her scholarship critically examines the intersection of labor law and antitrust regulation within broader frameworks of economic governance.

Paul's research pioneers analysis of how legal concepts of competition shape worker organization and market structure, with current focus on her book project Solidarity in the Shadow of Antitrust: Labor and the Legal Idea of Competition. She extends this work into intellectual property-antitrust synergies, labor market regulation, and historical evolution of economic jurisprudence.

Paul's pre-academic career featured extensive litigation for workers' rights and civil rights plaintiffs, followed by clinical teaching at UCLA where she directed the Workers Rights Litigation Clinic.
