Sanja Filipović is a Professor at Singidunum University, affiliated with the Faculty of Business and Department of Economics. She holds a doctoral degree from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade (2005–2008), complemented by postgraduate studies in International Economics (1999–2003) and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management (1995–1999). Her research focuses on macroeconomic stability, energy economics, transition economies, and EU policy analysis.
Her work spans over 100 publications, including high-impact journals like Energy Research and Social Science and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews. Key themes include the green transition in the Western Balkans, energy security, and the socio-economic effects of population aging. She has authored/co-authored books such as Ekonomija (2019) and Neoliberalni koncept u zemljama Zapadnog Balkana (2017).
Her recent research emphasizes regional sustainability challenges, EU integration dynamics, and the geopolitical implications of energy resources. She frequently contributes to international conferences like Sinteza and FINIZ, addressing topics ranging from circular economy frameworks to climate policy evaluation.
