Sandy L. Pelletier is a Principal Lecturer in Nursing at the University of Maine at Fort Kent (UMFK). She teaches in the Nursing Department and has been involved in higher education for nine years. Her office is located in Nadeau Hall, and she can be reached at (207) 834-8635.
Ms. Pelletier holds a BS in Biology from UMFK (1994), a BSN from Husson University (1997), and a Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education from the University of Maine (2011). She is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Nursing Education at the University of Maine. Her research focuses on simulation curricular integration and expanding UMFK’s simulation lab infrastructure.
She maintains clinical expertise by working per diem at Northern Maine Medical Center and is actively pursuing certification in simulation education. Professional distinctions include licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maine. She volunteers as a speaker for local schools, addressing wellness and gifted education programs.
Her role in expanding the Nursing Simulation Lab reflects her commitment to advancing clinical training. While no formal grants or advising records are noted, her teaching spans over a decade in northern Maine’s nursing programs.
