Dr. Sandy Bakos is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge, joining in 2022. She brings 18 years of elementary teaching experience in urban (Edmonton, Grande Prairie) and rural (Whitecourt, Fairview) Alberta schools, along with instructional coaching and an international exchange in Victoria, Australia.

Her research explores technology integration in elementary mathematics, intersections of computational thinking and early math learning, and connections between spatial reasoning and mathematics learning disabilities. Teaching interests focus on elementary mathematics education.
