Brent Saccucci is an Instructor (Term) in the Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge, focusing on social contexts of education, literacy, and transformative leadership. He holds a BEd from the University of Alberta, an MEd and MA from the University of Alberta and OISE (University of Toronto), and is completing an EdD in Equity, Diversity, and Social Justice Education at Western University. His career spans elementary to graduate education, including roles as a teacher, guidance counselor, and equity consultant in Alberta schools. He led programs at the fYrefly Institute for Gender & Sexual Diversity, advocating for LGBTQ2S+ inclusion in education. Research Interests include queer pedagogy, anti-homo/transphobia education, mad studies in education, ungrading movements, and the intersection of creativity and academic rigor.
