Brent Oliver is an Associate Professor at Mount Royal University’s Department of Social Work. He holds a PhD from the University of Calgary, an MSW from Carleton University, and a BSW from Ryerson University. His research focuses on HIV/AIDS, LGBTQ+ health, community-based interventions, and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. He leads the Alberta Community Based Research Collaborative and contributes to the CIHR Centre for REACH. His teaching spans community development, leadership, practicum, and communication skills. Oliver has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presentations on qualitative research methodologies, curriculum development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Research Interests
