Sandrine LORIMIER

Pr. Sandrine Lorimier serves as a Professor (PU-PH) at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne. She holds multiple administrative roles including elected member of the Management Council and Finance Commission of the Dental Faculty, Vice-President of the Pedagogical Commission since 2012, and elected Vice-President of the National College of Teachers in Biological Sciences of Odontology (CNESBO). She coordinates the Forum of Young Researchers in Dentistry and oversees PACES Odontology programs in Reims and Amiens.

Her research spans periodontology, oral biology (dental embryology/histology), inflammatory diseases (Hidradenitis Suppurativa, periodontal diseases), and medical infrared thermography applications. She pioneers regenerative medicine approaches using peptides for skin/periodontal tissue repair and develops diagnostic tools via biospectroscopy/chromatography. Her work bridges dentistry, dermatology, and bioengineering to address complex inflammatory conditions through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Recent publications demonstrate clinical applications of infrared thermography in Hidradenitis Suppurativa treatment and peptide-based dermal regeneration, highlighting translational research from laboratory to surgical practice. These studies emphasize diagnostic innovation and tissue engineering solutions for inflammatory pathologies.

She co-supervises doctoral and master's theses while mentoring dental surgery doctorate candidates. Her research integrates clinical practice with laboratory investigations through collaborations with EA 4694 GRESPI, UMR CNRS 7369 MEDyC (Extracellular Matrix and Cell Dynamics), and INRAP (archaeological population studies). She actively contributes to scientific discourse as a reviewer for journals including Journal of Cell Biochemistry and Wound Repair and Regeneration.
