Sandra Schick is a researcher at the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) in Mainz, Germany, with leadership roles since 2020. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology (2016) and a Master's in Biomedicine from Johannes Gutenberg University.
Her research focuses on chromatin regulation through BAF complexes, including their role in epigenetics, genome stability, and disease mechanisms. She employs genomics, proteomics, and CRISPR/Cas9 in mouse and human models.
Scientific awards include the Life Science Research Award (2019) and scholarships from the Bayer Foundation (2009) and Keystone Meeting (2018). Her recent publications investigate chromatin remodeling in cancer and aging.
