René Ketting is a Professor at the Faculty of Biology, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU), and Scientific Director at the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB), Mainz. His research focuses on small RNA-driven gene regulatory mechanisms in the germline, particularly piRNAs and their role in controlling transposable elements and epigenetic inheritance.
