Dr. Stamatis Papathanasiou is a Group Leader at the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB), Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where he directs a research team studying mitotic errors and genomic instability. He previously held a postdoctoral position at Harvard Medical School and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
His research examines how chromosome segregation errors lead to micronuclei formation, causing:
