Sandra Robinson is a Professor in the Organizational Behaviour & Human Resources Division at the UBC Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia. She holds a BA and MSc from the University of British Columbia and a PhD from Northwestern University. Her research focuses on dysfunctional work behavior, territoriality, ostracism, and trust within organizational contexts. Dr. Robinson’s work has explored topics such as workplace aggression, meta-analytic investigations of employee outcomes, and the psychological impacts of social exclusion. She has contributed significantly to understanding the dynamics of negative workplace behaviors and their implications for organizational health.
Her academic roles include the Distinguished University Scholar Chair, underscoring her scholarly contributions. Her research spans over three decades, with notable publications in Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, and Academy of Management Annals. While currently on leave from teaching in the 2024-2025 academic year, she remains active in the academic community, offering expertise through her research and service in the field of organizational behavior.
Her work integrates theoretical and empirical approaches to address real-world challenges in workplace dynamics, emphasizing the interplay between individual behaviors and organizational structures.
