Irene Kim is a Sessional Lecturer in the Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Division at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia. She holds a BSc from UBC, and MSc and PhD from Wilfrid Laurier University. Her research focuses on work stress management, employee well-being in customer service environments, and constructive/destructive workplace behaviors. She teaches courses including 'Managing The Employment Relationship' and 'Organizational Behaviour' at the undergraduate level.
Dr. Kim's work explores leadership dynamics and the impact of customer entitlement on employee emotional labor. Her recent studies include analyzing patient violence effects on healthcare professionals in China and moderating factors in service industries. She has published in journals like European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology and contributes to Harvard Business Review.
