Daniel Skarlicki is the Edgar F. Kaiser Professor of Organizational Behaviour and a Professor in the Marketing and Behavioural Science Division at the UBC Sauder School of Business, part of The University of British Columbia. He holds a BCom from Alberta, MBA from Alberta, and PhD from Toronto. His research focuses on organizational justice, workplace retaliation, mindfulness in performance, and leadership dynamics. He teaches courses on organizational behavior, leadership development, and business strategy integration at the MBA level.
Skarlicki’s research investigates how workplace injustice influences employee behavior, particularly sabotage and retaliation, and explores mindfulness practices to improve conflict management. His work also examines third-party reactions to workplace mistreatment and the role of leadership integrity in financial forecasting. He has published extensively in journals like Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and Journal of Applied Psychology.
His courses include Leadership Development (FTMBA), Organizational Behaviour (SPHA), and Professional Residencies focusing on ethics and strategy. Skarlicki’s contributions bridge theory and practice, addressing real-world challenges in organizational management and employee well-being.
