Sandra Graҫa is a Professor of International Business and Marketing, and Chair of the Comparative Cultures Collegium at Eckerd College. She holds a BBA, MBA from Western Michigan University, and a DBA from Nova Southeastern University. Her research focuses on cross-cultural marketing, sustainability in B2B and consumer contexts, nonprofit marketing strategies, and the role of humor and emotions in advertising. She has conducted extensive studies on green buying behavior, global advertising frameworks, and institutional effects on business relationships in diverse markets like Brazil, Germany, China, and the U.S.
Her work highlights themes such as cosmopolitan orientation's impact on green purchasing, cultural differences in trust-building, and the effectiveness of educational strategies in promoting sustainable consumer behavior. Recent studies emphasize cross-country comparisons, with notable contributions to journals like the Journal of Management for Global Sustainability and Baltic Journal of Management. She has received accolades including the Best Paper Award at the 2022 International Congress on Public and Nonprofit Marketing and recognition in the 2018 Emerald Literati Awards.
Prof. Graҫa actively participates in global initiatives like the European Innovation Academy, mentoring students in entrepreneurial ventures addressing sustainability challenges. She serves on editorial review boards for journals such as the Journal of International Management and International Business: Research, Teaching and Practice.
