Dr. Julie Napoli is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Curtin University's School of Management and Marketing within the Faculty of Business and Law. She also serves in the Office of the Provost. Holding a PhD in Marketing from Monash University (2003), her expertise spans marketing management, brand strategy, and social marketing. Her research focuses on brand authenticity, sustainable consumption, gender equality, and consumer wellbeing. She has received notable awards including New Researcher of the Year (2001) and Teacher of the Year (2000).
Her research portfolio includes over twenty refereed journal articles and book chapters. Key projects include investigations into brand authenticity measurement, sustainable marketing practices, and nonprofit organizational performance. Notable grants include leadership roles in studies on brand authenticity measurement ($14K, 2005) and music's role in advertising ($8K, 2004). She has collaborated with Prof. Michael Ewing on multiple brand management initiatives since 2000.
Dr. Napoli has taught extensively across Australia and Southeast Asia, covering courses like marketing principles, consumer behavior, and international marketing. Her work bridges academic research with industry applications in both B2B and nonprofit sectors. She actively contributes to marketing thought leadership through her publications in journals like Journal of Marketing Management and Journal of Business Research.
