Samuel Singler is a Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Essex, specializing in Border Criminology. His research examines the impact of border security technologies on the global criminalization of migration, with empirical focus on the International Organization for Migration's practices in Nigeria and theoretical integration of pragmatism and performativity theory.
