Samuel Law

Dr. Sau Wai Law (Samuel) is a Lecturer in Corporate and Commercial Law at the University of Reading, specializing in dispute resolution, banking and finance law, and financial technology. Since transitioning to full-time academia in January 2021, he has brought extensive banking industry experience from Hong Kong to his teaching and research roles. He is also a doctoral supervisor and examiner at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and serves as an Associate Editor for the Public Administration and Policy Journal.

His recent publications demonstrate a clear trajectory toward examining digital financial inclusion and regulatory responses to fintech innovations, with particular attention to the Hong Kong and UK contexts. His research consistently bridges theoretical frameworks with practical banking industry insights.
