Dr. Samrein Ahmed is a Senior Lecturer in Molecular Biosciences at Sheffield Hallam University (since 2021), affiliated with the School of Biosciences and Chemistry under the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences. She holds a MBBS, MSc, and PhD, with postdoctoral experience at the University of Cambridge and prior roles as an Assistant Professor at the University of Sharjah (UAE). Her research focuses on cancer biology, particularly cell signaling, metabolic disease-cancer links, and drug resistance mechanisms. She is a UK Higher Education Academy Fellow and actively contributes to national/international bodies like the European Association for Cancer Research.
