Samere Haile is a Professor of Management and currently serves as the Interim Head of the Department of Management & Marketing at Grambling State University's College of Business. He has been a faculty member since 1987, teaching courses in Human Resource Management, Strategic Management & Business Policy, Organizational Behavior, and International Business.
- Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies in International Business, International Relations/Law, and Third World Studies from the University of Cincinnati
- M.A. in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati
- M.B.A. in Management from Xavier University
- B.A. in Business Administration from Hanover College
Dr. Haile's research focuses on International Business, International Relations and Law, and Third World Studies, with secondary interests in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and Strategic Management. His work often examines cross-cultural management, global economic integration, and institutional challenges in developing economies.
Throughout his career, Dr. Haile has received numerous accolades including the Excellence in Teaching Award (2018), Distinguished Faculty Award (2017), and multiple Best Paper Awards at academic conferences. He has also held the Larry Lundy Endowed Professorship since 2012 and received research awards for funded projects between 1999-2000.
As an active academic leader, Dr. Haile has served as Session Chair and Discussant at international conferences and previously contributed to academia at Wiley College, UC Berkeley, Dominican College, and Laney College. His teaching philosophy emphasizes contemporary relevance through integration of current global issues into classroom discussions.
