Sameer Sheth

Sameer Sheth is a Professor and Vice-Chair of Clinical Research at Baylor College of Medicine, where he directs the Gordon and Mary Cain Pediatric Neurology Research Laboratories. He also holds an Adjunct Associate Professor position in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University.

His research focuses on understanding human decision-making and cognition through intracranial recordings and stimulation in neurosurgical patients, with a parallel emphasis on developing neuromodulatory therapies for refractory psychiatric disorders like depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Key areas include deep brain stimulation (DBS), neural circuitry, and self-programmability mechanisms.
