Sameer Anil Sheth

Sameer Anil Sheth is a Professor of Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine and serves as Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Neurosurgery. He is also a McNair Scholar and holds the Cullen Foundation Endowed Chair, focusing on advancing deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapies for neuropsychiatric disorders.

Research Interests: Dr. Sheth investigates the neurophysiological basis of human decision-making and cognition, with a particular emphasis on developing novel DBS techniques for conditions like epilepsy and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). His work bridges neuroscience, neurosurgery, and psychiatry, leveraging functional and stereotactic approaches.
