Samantha Cuthbert

Samantha Cuthbert is an Assistant Module Leader for the EDP 381 Subject Studies module on the PGCE Education (DL) programme and a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) for both PGCE and PgCert (SCITT) programmes at the University of Sunderland. She holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Management and serves as a BSO Inspector with PENTA International. With over 10 years of teaching experience in the UK and internationally, including leadership roles in a British International School in Cairo, she has extensive expertise in curriculum development, teacher training, and educational leadership.

Her professional development includes roles such as school-based mentor for PGCE trainees and certifications in Coaching and Mentoring and Designated Safeguarding Lead. She emphasizes the importance of adapting to challenges like those posed by the pandemic and fostering high-quality global education.
