Samantha Crossfield is a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds, affiliated with the School of Medicine and the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics. Her work focuses on leveraging routinely collected health data to improve understanding of disease management and treatment patterns, particularly in musculoskeletal conditions and cancer care. She is also pursuing a PhD at the MRC Leeds Medical Bioinformatics Centre.

Research Interests: Samantha specializes in analyzing electronic health records (EHRs) using statistical and epidemiological techniques to identify trends in clinical outcomes. Her current projects include assessing long-term cancer care via linked GP/hospital data and developing de-identification protocols for spatio-temporal health datasets. She emphasizes embedding research findings into clinical systems and optimizing information governance frameworks.

- Led the creation of ResearchOne, a research enterprise partnership with TPP
- Developed SystmInsight for international clinical data research
- Recipient of RCUK's 2014 Knowledge Transfer Partnership Impact Award
- Contributor to the first daily national symptom surveillance system with Public Health England
Technical Expertise: R, SQL, Tableau, Weka, data linkage methodologies, and information security management systems. She currently leads the University of Leeds Data Services Team's governance processes.
