Dr Becky Birch is a Research Fellow at the School of Medicine, University of Leeds, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. She is affiliated with the Leeds Institute of Medical Research at St James's Cancer Epidemiology Group and works in Dr Amy Downing’s research team on the CORECT-R programme, focusing on national colorectal cancer data analysis.
Her academic qualifications include:

- BSc (Hons) in Human Genetics (University of Leeds, 2010)
Dr Birch specializes in cancer epidemiology with emphasis on outcome inequities in colorectal cancer, particularly examining multimorbidity, frailty, and age-related disparities. She utilizes linked population-level datasets to analyze treatment pathways and survival outcomes, addressing systemic gaps in care for vulnerable patient groups through quantitative health services research.
