Samantha Brown

Dr. Samantha Brown is Associate Professor and Director of the Parent-Child Relationships & Well-Being Lab at Colorado State University's Department of Human Development and Family Studies.

Education: PhD in Social Work (University of Denver, 2016), MA in Forensic Psychology (2010), BS in Psychology and Criminal Justice (College of Saint Rose, 2007). Licensed Professional Counselor.

Research investigates biobehavioral pathways linking early adversity to child development, with NIH-funded projects on mother-infant physiological regulation, sleep disturbances in maltreated children, and mindfulness interventions for vulnerable families.

Leads workforce development initiatives for infant mental health professionals and supervises graduate research on family resilience mechanisms.
