Salomé Sanchez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Design, Production and Management (DPM) at the University of Twente's Faculty of Engineering Technology. Her research focuses on Additive Manufacturing (AM) for Sustainable Development, with emphasis on circularity and design. Current projects include 3D printing polymer waste, sustainable AM adoption in underserved communities, AM of sustainable construction materials, circular solutions for metal AM powder, and rebuilding cities through disaster debris 3D printing.
She teaches courses in Industrial Design Engineering (IDE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), and UT-VU modules, and supervises student projects in design and manufacturing. Her work is affiliated with the Advanced Manufacturing, Sustainable Products & Energy Systems (AMSPES) group.
