Sally Andrews is a Researcher and Pedagogic Projects Development Manager at Staffordshire University's Health, Education, Policing and Sciences school. Her work focuses on evidence-based strategies to support students from diverse, non-traditional, and minoritized backgrounds in Higher Education. She advocates for mixed-methods approaches, combining quantitative and qualitative data to inform pedagogical practices.

Her research explores barriers faced by historically marginalized students and evaluates interventions to enhance academic success. She has led projects analyzing curricular decolonization and equitable learning environments. Sally is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and contributes to TASO Sector Network activities.
Awards: Recognized in the 2023 Whatuni Student Choice Awards for Facilities and Social Inclusion, and cited in the 2023 Times Good University Guide for ‘Outstanding’ research impact. Her work aligns with the 2021 Research Excellence Framework’s ‘World Leading’ standards.
Advising & Grants: Supervises PhD candidates Malachy Mbah (evidence-informed evaluation methodologies) and Emeka Okoli (decolonizing Psychology curricula). Her research has been funded by institutional grants exploring socio-cultural barriers in HE.
She collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to advance inclusive pedagogy and has presented findings at national and international conferences.
