Sue Lee is a Senior Research Fellow at Staffordshire University's Staffordshire Centre of Learning and Pedagogic Practice within the School of Health, Education, Policing and Sciences. With over a decade of leadership experience guiding learning technologists, she specializes in designing pedagogic workshops and accredited courses that advance the university's ethos of inclusivity and social mobility.
Her educational trajectory includes a Master's research focus on technology's impact for students with disabilities, and she is currently pursuing PhD studies examining intangible assets influencing mature student journeys. Research interests span Educational Technology, Inclusive Education, Tertiary Education, Digital Learning, and Student Support, with particular emphasis on phenomenon-based learning as a solution to 21st-century educational challenges.
Awarded Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy status, Sue has driven institutional inclusion initiatives since 2004, establishing frameworks for accessible digital practices across university operations. Her work directly contributed to Staffordshire University's Whatuni Student Choice Award 2023 for Social Inclusion and recognition in The Times Good University Guide 2023 for outstanding research impact.
As leader of a dedicated learning technologist team, she develops faculty development programs using appreciative inquiry methodologies to embed inclusive teaching practices, while continuing to innovate in digital pedagogy through current PhD research on mature student experiences.
