Salih POLATER

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salih POLATER is affiliated with Ankara Social Sciences University, serving in the Faculty of Law, Department of Intellectual Property Law. Previously, he held academic positions at Erzincan University and Turgut Ozal University.

His research focuses on Intellectual Property Law and Commercial Law, with a particular emphasis on trademarks, designs, and geographical indications. His work bridges Turkish and European legal frameworks, analyzing issues such as unfair competition, data protection, and legal harmonization.

Recent publications highlight his expertise in comparative law, including analyses of European and Turkish regulations on geographical indications (2020), cumulative protection of designs under industrial property and unfair competition law (2024), and legal aspects of 3D trademarks (2025). His scholarly output spans law journals, books, and conference proceedings.
