Mistrale Goudreau

Dr. Mistrale Goudreau is a Full Professor in the Civil Law Section at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law and a faculty member at the Centre for Law, Technology and Society. She serves as Coordinator for the Graduate Studies in Law and Technology (French track). Her teaching focuses on intellectual property, statutory interpretation, and law and technology. She has held visiting roles at institutions including the Université de Montréal, Université de Nantes (France), and the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Patent-, Urheber- und Wettbewerbsrecht in Munich. Previously, she served as Executive Director of the Council of Canadian Law Deans, Associate Dean of Clinical and Applied Education, and Associate Dean of the Civil Law Section. She was also president of the law journal Les Cahiers de propriété intellectuelle (2014–2016).

Her research interests span intellectual property, technology law, legal theory, and legislative drafting. She has published extensively on copyright, unfair competition, and related fields. Her expertise includes international comparative law and policy analysis in technology-driven legal frameworks.
