Sal Capobianco

Sal Capobianco is an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the Francis College of Engineering, University of Massachusetts Lowell. He earned both his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees from UMass Lowell. His professional expertise centers on structural engineering and consulting engineering, with broader interests in civil engineering principles and infrastructure design.

In addition to his academic role, Mr. Capobianco serves as a senior principal at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, an engineering firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. He maintains active industry engagement while contributing to engineering education. As a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), he bridges academic knowledge with practical industry applications.
