Sahar Sadjadi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Studies of Medicine at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. She holds a PhD in medical anthropology from Columbia University and previously taught at Amherst College. Her research focuses on the intersection of medicine, gender, and childhood, particularly exploring how biomedical practices shape marginalized children’s life chances.

Recent Research Trends: Her work critiques and examines how medical interventions address gender nonconformity in children, balancing ethical imperatives with social justice goals. Themes include temporal and affective politics of pediatric care and the limits of biomedical solutions for marginalized groups.
