Kiran Jayaram is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of South Florida. His academic journey spans Ivy League and public institutions, including a Ph.D. in Applied Anthropology from Columbia University. Jayaram's work bridges Haiti, Dominican Republic, and the Indian subcontinent through fieldwork on educational/labor migration, political economy, and marginalized knowledge systems.

Research focuses on Caribbean and South Asian transnationalism, particularly Haitian/Dominican migrant experiences.
