Saeyun Jung

Saeyun Jung (born 1982 in Daegu, South Korea) is a lecturer at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM), teaching animation software including TVPaint, Augmented Reality, and Video Mapping since 2019. He is an active artist and filmmaker known for his diploma film "The Wave", and co-founded the art association Dambi Lab e.V. in 2023.

His educational background includes:

• 2007-2009: Photography at Seoul Institute of the Arts
• 2011-2015: Studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne

Jung's artistic practice spans experimental animation and digital media, building on his photography foundation to explore spatial interactions through video mapping and AR. His work integrates physical and digital realms, evident in his long-term collaboration with Vamos Animation Studio since 2017 and his educational focus on cutting-edge production techniques.
