Pascal Marcel Dreier

Pascal Marcel Dreier, M.A., is an Assistant Professor of Multispecies Storytelling at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM). His work combines aesthetic research with activist, forensic, and ethnographic methods, focusing on cultural and media histories of capturing technologies, critical animal studies, and decolonial ecology. He holds an MA in Art & Ecology from Goldsmiths, University of London, and an MFA in Media & Fine Art from KHM.

Research interests include multispecies storytelling, virtual ecologies, and the ethical dimensions of digital media. His exhibitions include DE PROFUNDIS (2023), Crazy about Meat (2024), and OCTOPUS ENCOUNTERS (2020). He teaches at KHM and collaborates internationally with institutions like the University of Cambridge and KISD.

Awards include the Perron Art Prize (2020). His research projects such as deprofundis.exe and Multispecies Studio explore animal-industrial spaces through immersive digital mediums. He also leads workshops on decolonial ecology and multispecies justice.
