Sabrina Thomas is a Senior Lecturer (Programme Lead) in Occupational Therapy at Birmingham Newman University, part of the Faculty of Arts, Society and Professional Studies and School of Nursing and Allied Health. She maintains HCPC registration and Royal College of Occupational Therapists membership.
Educations:
- BSc Occupational Therapy (Coventry University, 2015)
- BSc Health Studies (Birmingham City University, 2009)
Research Interests: Focuses on physical rehabilitation, pulmonary care, equality/diversity in Allied Health Professions, leadership development among minority ethnic graduates, and simulation in pre-registration education. Recently contributed to a Health Education England project analyzing leadership barriers for BAME occupational therapy graduates.
Teaching Experience: Previously served as Visiting/Guest Lecturer at University of Worcester, Coventry University, and University of Wolverhampton. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Transforming and Leading in Healthcare to enhance educational leadership.
Professional Activities: Active presenter at conferences such as the 2016 Big HLS Conference, exploring innovative student learning environments in non-traditional settings like prisons.
