Sílvia Font Mayolas is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Girona, where she has been a faculty member since January 2018. She is also the Director of the Institute of Research on Quality of Life (IRQV) at UdG, a role she has held since January 2022. Her academic and professional work is deeply rooted in health psychology, with a focus on psychological assessment and addictive behaviors.

Her research interests lie primarily in health psychology, with a strong emphasis on health risk behaviors and prevention, particularly substance and non-substance addictions in adolescents and young adults. She has led numerous research projects on addiction epidemiology and digital health interventions. Her recent publications reflect a growing focus on digital health literacy, stroke recovery education during the pandemic, and innovative teaching methods in psychology.
Her scholarly output includes over 58 scientific articles, 41 indexed in Web of Science, 7 books or edited volumes, and 16 book chapters. She has co-directed 9 doctoral theses and mentored numerous undergraduate and master’s students. She has been principal investigator on 12 research transfer contracts with public institutions such as the Barcelona Provincial Council and Girona City Council, contributing directly to municipal addiction prevention policies.

She leads the Research Group in Health Psychology at IRQV and is involved in national teaching coordination for Psychological Assessment. Her work bridges research, education, and public policy, demonstrating a strong commitment to knowledge transfer and societal impact.
