Dr Ryan Stanyard is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Teaching Fellow at Keele University's School of Psychology. He holds roles as Visiting Lecturer at Queen Mary's University of London (Neuroscience) and HP Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University (Psychology), alongside teaching at King's College London.
Education: BSc Neuroscience/Psychology (Keele, 2015), MSc Neuroimaging (2019), MRes Biomedical Science (2020), and a PhD in Developmental Neuroscience (expected 2025 from King's College London).
His research focuses on early brain development using EEG/fMRI, particularly differences in deaf infants vs. typical development, and impacts of digital technology on neurodivergent conditions like autism/ADHD. He is part of the KiDS Lab (Keele Interdisciplinary Developmental Science) under Dr Claire Monroy.
Teaching & Outreach: Associate Fellow of HEA, Chair of BNA Content Board, and engaged in public engagement (e.g., BBC Christmas Lectures, New Scientist Live).
Mentoring: Open to co-supervising BSc/MSc students in developmental neuroscience/psychology using EEG/MRI.
